A VERY SPECIAL WORKSHOP IN LISBON
CASA BOHEMIA ALGARVE X ARTLIER
"From clay to flame" is a unique workshop in two sessions, combining ceramics and candle making.
A sensory experience where matter, gestures and perfumes meet.
During the first session, at Artlier, a Lisbon art school, ceramics professor Carolina Andrade will guide participants in hand-modeling clay, exploring techniques of rolling, pinching, and shaping. Each participant will create a ceramic piece which will then be fired and glazed to become a candle.
Two weeks later, at Casa Bohemia, Katia will accompany the participants in the introduction to the world of perfume and in the creation of their own olfactory pyramid in order to realize their personalized candle with Aureliano who will guide its production.
Each participant will develop their own perfume formula which will be recorded in the Casa Bohemia Olfactory Library, and will personalize the Casa Bohemia x Artlier label with their aromatic notes.
THE STUDIO
Casa Bohemia Algarve has set up its workshop in an old Lisbon tavern next to the magnificent Amoreiras garden.
Katia Coelho and Aureliano Aleluia, the creators, personally welcome the public into their workshop where they develop and produce part of their collections of handcrafted pieces. In this atypical place transformed into a creative studio, the tiled walls have become blank sheets like so many new pages to fill.
This "creative laboratory" offers the possibility of refilling Casa Bohemia Algarve candles when they are empty, but also of discovering the complete universe of the brand from its olfactory collection, its unique ceramic pieces, its aromatic cushions and other curiosities developed by the duo.
