Villa Extramuros, a refuge "outside the walls," is located in Arraiolos, in the heart of Alentejo, a magnificent region steeped in a thousand-year history, just an hour from Lisbon on the road to Madrid and very close to Évora, the museum-city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Villa Extramuros is set in a large plot of more than 5 hectares of century-old olive trees, holm oaks and other Mediterranean trees. The land is surrounded by fields and forests classified as an ecological zone, and where flocks of sheep graze. The garden has been preserved in its natural state, apart from the planting of a few shrubs and beds of aromatic plants around the house. Less than an hour away, the still wild and preserved Alentejan coast is less than an hour away, while Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is full of historical and architectural treasures.
